AGRICULTURE VIABILITY GRANT

The Town of Ledyard, CT recognizes the value of agriculture to our community and our State. In 2009, the Town applied for and received an "Agiculture Viablity Grant" from the CT Department of Agriculture. The goal of the program is to strenghen the economic viability of Connecticut farmers and to promote the sustainability of agriculture in Connecticut and its municipalites.

As part of this program, we are requesting input and assistance from local farms and are asking that they complete a survey. The survey can be downloaded and returned to the Planning Office or can be completeted online here. The information from the survey will be used to give us a better "picture" of local farming efforts and for promotional and information activities.

	As part of its efforts to promote and assist agriculture in Ledyard, the Agriculture Subcommitte of the Town is asking local farms to participate in the following survey. The information will be used to conduct activities funded by a grant from the CT Depatment of Agriculture. Activities currently planned include a brochure, a web location and other items to promote farms in Ledyard
